Stuart Chalmers Drones and ambience layers with looping gurgles and squarks which grow into a kind of sickness that disturbs but somehow still feels nice.
6 tracks on side A and played backwards on side B.
Stuart uses a variety of objects from electronics to cassettes, contact mics to circuit bent keyboards. Improvisation is always the starting point though an extended idea of improvisation often branches out to employ editing and mixing.
As well as his solo work, Stuart has been involved with the Free Improvisation collectives Bristol Cube Orchestra and Oxford Improvisers Orchestra and has recently started curating Amalgam, an experimental music event in Bristol.
